It's time to go cruising with Travel Crazy!
Join us as we head to Jacksonville to board Carnival Cruise Line's Fascination for a 5-day cruise to The Bahamas. En Route, we'll overnight in Valdosta. Then after a short drive, we'll find ourselves boarding our ship for a relaxing vacation on the Atlantic Ocean.
The cruise features two ports of call--Half Moon Cay and Nassau.
Half Moon Cay is located on 2,400 acre Little San Salvador Island--a true nature preserve boasting incredible blue water and a gorgeous white crescent-shaped beach. The privately owned island offers up a day of relaxation for visitors in a simple way. Though several shore excursions are offered, many cruisers prefer to do absolutely nothing. . ., besides wander along the beach and bask in a beautiful tropical paradise.
Nassau is an exciting port to visit, but it's very different from Half Moon Cay. While it, too, has long stretches of white beaches and palm trees swaying with the breezes, it's a vibrant, bustling city with lots of activities to offer visitors.
There's a British Influence here, and you can sense it when stepping off the ship. Old Colonial structures dot Downtown Nassau as tourists browse the shops and straw market around its Parliament buildings. Locals speak with a British lilt; cars drive on the left-hand side of the road. And, officers clad as bobbies motion traffic to move on.
Optional shore excurions offered by Carnival are plentiful--ranging from historical tours of the island to fun on the water. But, some may find a full day of enjoyment by merely wandering the streets of Downtown Nassau.
During our 5-night cruise on the Fascination, all of our guests will be provided with an exterior cabin with a picture window. The ship features several bars, lounges, and a show room, as well as a casino. It also features a resort-style swimming pool and a miniature golf course.
Meals onboard the ship are complimentary (with exception to The Steak House, an upscale dining option). Please note: soft drinks, bottled water, and alcoholic beverages are not included in your trip package.
For our guests' convenience, our trip package includes an onboard gratuity pack, covering gratuities for dining and stateroom staff; the only gratuities our guests should encounter would be on items or services not included in their cruise package !

Mississsippi River Fall Foliage Cruise
The centerpiece of this new Travel Crazy trip is an all-day sightseeing cruise upon one of the most famous rivers in the United States. The riverboat Celebration Belle will play host to our Mississippi River excursion, traversing more than 70 miles during its Fall Foliage quest from LeClaire, Iowa to Dubuque, Iowa.
In addition to showcasing a full day of ever-changing views of the Mighty Mississippi, our captain will dot the journey with narration and the crew will offer live entertainment, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an afternoon snack. The 11-hour cruise is a wonderful way to spend a leisurely day exploring an area of our country unfamiliar to most of us.
This highly entertaining trip will begin with our motorcoach drive to the Quad Cities. During our
3 nights in the area, we will be enjoying hotel accommodations at the Isle of Capri Casino--Bettendorf. For those who enjoy slot machines and live Las Vegas-style gaming, this will provide a fun way to cap off the evening after days of sightseeing. In addition to offering its own allotment of gaming opportunities, there is a complimentary shuttle from the hotel to a neighboring casino--the Rhythm City casino in Davenport!
Our hotel package includes 3 buffets at the Isle of Capri (2 breakfasts and 1 dinner).
Our second day will find us boarding the Celebration for our one-way cruise to Dubuque. While we cruise up the river, our motorcoach will head to Dubuque to await our arrival. Then, it will return us to our hotel in Bettendorf after the cruise.
The following day, we'll call upon some of the local Quad City attractions. During a guided tour of Arsenal Island, we'll discover a place that once served as a Confederate Prison Camp and an active manufacturer of military equipment since the 1880's. We'll also have the opportunity to visit the Rock Island Arsenal Museum--second oldest military museum in the United States.
During our visit to the Mississippi River Visitors Center, we'll join a narrated Lock and Dam tour. The guided tour will have us actually walk out onto a lock while the process of navigating the passage is explained to us.
We'll finish our area sightseeing with a visit to theJohn Deere Pavilion. Here, we'll learn of the midwestern man and who transformed American agriculture.
Our Fall trip to the Quad Cities and the Mississippi River will come to a close as we leave the Isle of Capri behind and begin our drive back to Kentucky.
Trip includes: motorcoach transportation, 3-nights hotel/casino accommodations, baggage handling, Riverboat Cruise, Arsenal Island tour, shuttles to local attractions, 6 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner on Riverboat, and 2 breakfast buffets and 1 dinner buffet at casino)
